The first version of Qucs was released under the open source General Public Licence (GPL) in 2003.Since then members of the Development Team and indeed others interested in Qucsand spin off versions, including QucsStudio and Qucs-S, have generated a range of tutorial and other documentson the web, given presentations at scientific and engineering conferences and published papersin academic and other journals. These contain a wealth of information concerning Qucs/QucsStudio and Qucs-Sfoundations and tips on how to use these packages. Amongst all the published information users will also find numerousdevice modelling and circuit simulation examples. This chapter is split into two main sections. The first lists papers and articles relating to the early years of Qucs development. The second section presents published work relating to Qucs-S. A high percentage of these contributions are freelyavailable on the web, giving every one access to an important archive of Qucs documented principles and circuit design applications. As more documents are published the Qucs-S Development Team will endeavour to keep this list up to date.

As discussed above, the raised-sine function halves the average power dissipation to 1.7 W, but after operating for a week, one of the WS2812B controllers failed. The LEDs in that package would stall at a fixed color and all downstream packages stopped changing colors, suggesting that the controller had failed. Spraying that package with circuit cooler restored normal operation until it warmed up.
I dismantled the lamp and replaced that entire strip, whereupon it operated normally for another week, until a blue LED failed in a different strip. Once again, a squirt of circuit cooler provided a temporary fix, but I decided to measure the LED operating temperature.
Persistent and complex problems arising with respect to human physiology and pathology have led to intense investigation into therapies and tools that permit more targeted outcomes and biomimetic responses to pathological conditions. A primary goal in mammalian synthetic biology is to build genetic circuits that exert fine control over cell behavior for next-generation biomedical applications. In pursuit of this, synthetic biologists have engineered cells endowed with genetic circuits with sensor that are capable of reacting to a variety of stimuli and responding with targeted behavior. Here, we highlight how synthetic biology approaches are being used to program cells with novel functions for therapeutic applications, and how they can be used in stem cells to improve differentiation outcomes. These approaches open the possibilities for engineering synthetic tissues for employing personalized medicine and to develop next-generation biomedical therapies. 2b1af7f3a8
