Plantation Harbor: Joe Vitale's New Wave Adventure

Joe Vitale is a rock musician who is best known for his work with Joe Walsh, The Eagles, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and many others. But in 1981, he released his second solo album, Plantation Harbor, which was a departure from his usual style. The album was influenced by the new wave music movement that was popular at the time, featuring synthesizers, drum machines, and catchy hooks.

Plantation Harbor was Vitale's only album to chart on the U.S. Billboard 200, peaking at No. 181. The album also spawned two singles, "Lady on the Rock" and "Sailor Man", which received some airplay on rock radio stations. The album was produced by Vitale himself, with assistance from Joe Walsh and Bill Szymczyk. The album also featured guest appearances from Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Don Felder, and Stephen Stills.

He also joined Stephen Stills and Neil Young for their Stills-Young Band project. [^1^]
